Based in Northern California, The Design Company specializes in Luxury | Residential | Resort projects and values how the right design can simply make life better. Our approach is unique in that we do not limit our clients, or ourselves, by aligning with only one specific style or aesthetic, but instead adapt our focus as needed to create an individualized design that fits the clients' specific lifestyle needs. This versatility in design paired with our entitlement management services and pragmatic background in construction makes us a strong teammate in the design-build process.
BUILD SERVICES
We recognize the value in a Design + Build relationship and are able to offer construction services in addition to design by introducing our clients to our sister company, The Custom Home Company. By working side by side with The Custom Home Company, we can offer another layer of planning and visibility into your project helping streamline the design-build process. With this all in one approach, we can work as a team in establishing a complete project budget and in turn, design to that budget. As design development progresses, the budget can also continue to update, giving you, as the client, financial feedback as to what your project is going to cost, from start to finish, before you break ground.

Principal Designer Jessica Lauren, backed by her 15+ years of combined design and construction industry experience, has the proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion. ROB AUGER
President
Rob Auger is a visionary entrepreneur who takes great enjoyment in identifying process gaps, troubleshooting them, and finding solutions. His entrepreneurial spirit has been built on a strong base of experience and continues to evolve. Having spent the majority of his life working in and surrounded by the construction industry he has accumulated almost two decades of experience in general contracting, design, new construction, and development- making him a specialist in the industry and versed in even the most challenging projects.
AMY HONEYCUTT
Associate Designer
Amy is a native of Sonoma County and lived there until she left to attend college in Southern California. With a childhood deeply rooted in the region's rich culture and natural beauty, she developed a keen eye for aesthetics and an innate understanding of harmonizing spaces.
An early career launch in event planning and visual merchandising allowed Amy to quickly realize her passion for transforming environments into immersive experiences. Her work as a visual merchandising manager at companies including GAP and west elm, led to positions with local, high-end furniture retailers, where she continued to curate spaces, and branched out to buying.
